The second EP of two from the CD album Waajeed presents The War LP. The EP includes six tracks produced by Waajeed and J Dilla. Waajeed is an ex slum village member / producer and a leading light in the Detroit hiphop and soul scene. His band PPP released their debut album "Triple P" on Ubiquity in 2005 to comprehensive critical acclaim. The War LP features the same cast as "Triple P" as well as productions and features from Jay Dee aka J Dilla. The War LP serves as a showcase for the all the artists on Waajeed's label, Bling 47, who are all set to release individual projects over the next year. PPP have their second album in line for release on Ubiquity in the autumn. The EP includes the cinematic gritty soul of Tiombe Lockharts "The Overtaking" alongside an exclusive remix of "Act Like You Know", PPP's ruff hiphop anthem featuring the late great J Dilla and the previously unreleased raw beat of "Garage Band" from J Dilla himself. Waajeed provides the his trademark progressive hip hop production for the remaining three tracks.
